Tell a Friend

If you’ve been reading about what it is to be trapped by rewards, perhaps you’ve recognised that a friend or colleague might experiencing this right now.

You might be frustrated at them for not taking any action, or might just be concerned about their wellbeing. Either way, you recognise that they’re not happy and don’t appear to be doing anything about it.

One of the reasons for this is that to be well-paid but unhappy is a taboo. It’s something that we don’t like to talk about because there are plenty of people in the world who have much fewer resources and yet seem happier.

So we try and soldier on, hoping it’ll get better.

But it often won’t. Especially if they’re then given a pay rise or promise of future money from a bonus or share options. Paradoxically, it’ll probably make things worse.

If you’d like to tell someone about this, send them the link to this page. I’ll happily talk to them for 30 minutes to help them understand where they’re at, and where they would like to get to. No charge. Alternatively, if you’d like to talk to me about how you can help them, grab some of my time
